February 26th Meeting-Motion made by Kathy  and seconded by Bev  as February is Valentine’s month to send invitations to other guilds and sewing groups to join the Guild members as a social occasion with show and tell encouraged by members and guests. Sunset Guild members are asked to bring pie, cake or other sweet items and coffee and tea will be provided. Meeting will begin early at 6:30 pm.

There will also be a fabric exchange at this meeting: Choose 6 different red or pink fabrics, cut each fabric 7 and one half inch square, stack these on top of each other and roll up so that the edge of each piece shows slightly, then tie with a bit of ribbon or string. If you bring one roll of charm squares, you may trade for a different roll of charm squares to take home. You may trade as many rolls of charm squares as you bring. The pink charm squares could then be combined with a white square and used to make Magic 9-Patch blocks for donation to the Breast Cancer Support Project if you wish or use in your own project.

Bev  advised that she was approached by Theatre 17 about the quilt squares made by the Guild last year for their play. They would like the Guild to take possession of the squares and do something with them. Bev said she will bring the squares to the January 26th sewing day and discuss with members any ideas as to putting them together.
